The Finnish Parliament has started the parliamentary year 2020.
The spring term is expected to last until the end of June, with plenary sessions held weekly usually from Tuesday to Friday.
The opening of the parliamentary session was officially announced by the President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö on 5 February.
The opening speech was given by the Speaker Matti Vanhanen.
