​The preliminary debate of the state draft budget for 2022 ended on Friday, October 1. The matter was referred to the Finance Committee, to which other committees may deliver a statement by 1 November 2021.

Following committee handling, the draft budget will return to plenary in December.

The budget estimates central government revenues and expenditure for the coming year. In the budget proposal, the appropriations proposed amount to €64.8 billion while revenue is estimated at €57.9 billion and deficit at €6.9 billion.
