The single reading of the 2026 Budget begins with a general debate on the entire budget proposal on Monday 15 December at 12 PM. The single reading will take place from Monday to Friday.
The basis for the consideration is the budget report of the Finance Committee. In the single reading, a thorough discussion will be held on each main title of expenditure.
Departing from previous practice, all votes on the Budget will be held on the last day of the follow-up debate, that is, as scheduled, on Friday 19 December. Furthermore, each protest will be put to a vote in its entirety against the committee report. This procedure will significantly reduce the number of votes.
